Details
Security levels

Access to the administration system is control by a user name and
password system.
Once you have gained access to the administration system , there
are two available security levels.
Agent
This is defined as the agent owner of the product item, and within
the system only the agent owner and mangers can change details of
the properties held under their name. The concept is loosely defined
and you can create 'agents' to match you business model.
Examples of possible models are: -
- Single agent representing the entire business.
- Agent representing different business areas.
- Agent representing each office of the business
- Agent representing each actual agent in the business.
Each agent defined will have their own login and details (contact
numbers etc.), and only their product items will be shown to them.
Manager
A manager is an agent with additional capabilities. A manager can
perform the following operations over the standard agent.
- Add/Change/delete any product item
- Add/Change/delete any agent
- Assign a product item to a different agent
Each item is owned by an agent/manager and contact details etc
can be shown to a web site user when there are viewing an item.
Product Maintenance
The product maintenance screen will be designed to match your Data
Sheet requirements. It will tell us which fields you would like
display to your clients, and on which screens. On the example ,
the 'agent notes' field is for your note taking and would not be
chosen to be display to any client.
On this example screen there a couple of additional fields that
are linked to WEBmarketeur modules.
- Active: Dictates whether the product item is shown on the site.
It will be shown if 'Y'. You may want to set the field to 'N'
if you don't yet have enough details to put the item up on the
site, or if the item is under offer but you do not want to delete
the item until the offer is firm.
- Featured: Dictates whether the product item should be considered
for the featured module.
Product Image Administration
Each product item can have a number of images associated with it.
You can upload from your computer via the Internet several different
image formats which then be converted, resized and stored with each
product item. If you upload several images , you can alter the order
in which they are shown so that you select your best image as the
first image as this is shown on the clients search page.

Product Statistics
This section allows you to view statistics on each of you product
items. It displays for each item
- Featured - If you have purchased the featured module , this
value will indicate the number of times that this item has been
show by the module to a web site user
- Viewed - The number of times the item has been show as a result
of a user search
- Detail - The number of times the item details have been view
- % rate - The detail/view rate. Indicates what proportion of
the time a user decides from look at the details for an item

The purposes of these statistics are to indicate to you how often
a product is search for , and how often the details are then viewed.
If a product is being viewed , but the details are not , then perhaps
a change of search text or image may be required , or perhaps moving
the item onto the featured items list.
Product Options
Normally when purchasing a web site , everything comes fixed and you need to go back to your suppliers to add new options. Not with WEBmarketeur.
You can add/delete any entries to option box fields as defined on your Data Sheet
